What is AVID?
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an international college and career readiness program that helps middle and high school students develop the academic skills, confidence, and support needed to succeed in rigorous coursework, graduate high school, and prepare for college and future careers.
AVID Mission at Rogers High School
Our mission is to ensure college readiness for all AVID Elective students while promoting academic success for every Rogers student.
The AVID Elective Class
At the core of our AVID implementation is the AVID Elective class, which supports students enrolled in the school’s most rigorous courses, such as Advanced Placement (AP). Taught by trained AVID educators, this elective provides students with academic support, skill development, and college and career planning tools.
