Program Overview

The Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AJROTC) is a four-year magnet program offered at Rogers High School (RHS). Open to students throughout the district, the program emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and community engagement through hands-on learning and teamwork.

Course Credits and Dual Credit Options

Students earn 1.0 credit per year for each JROTC course (I-IV). The program also provides dual credit opportunities, allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school.

Is AJROTC Military Recruitment?

While AFJROTC operates in partnership with the U.S. Army, it is not a military recruitment program. The focus is on character, leadership, and citizenship development, preparing students for success in high school, college, and beyond.

Resources

Army ROTC High School Scholarships - High school students (after their junior year) are eligible to apply for the national ROTC scholarship program, covering full tuition and fees or room and board at various colleges.

Service to School (S2S) -  Offers mentorship and resources for students with military interests pursuing college opportunities.

Army University - Explore pathways to higher education and officer training after high school graduation.

How to Join

If your student attends or whose home high school is Rogers, reach out to your school counselor for details about joining Army JROTC.

All other students must complete an in-district transfer form.

Important: Parents must provide transportation for 9th grade students opting into the magnet program. District transportation is not provided.
